The price of groceries has gotten too damn high lately. I've been browsing the weekly flyers to fight back, but checking each store's flyer one at a time is cumbersome, and the interfaces are painful to navigate. So I wrote a scraper that puts all the deals in one place.

Penticton Grocery Deals pulls the weekly flyer from every grocer in town — Save-On-Foods, Real Canadian Superstore, Safeway, Wholesale Club, Quality Greens, Nature's Fare, and IGA — and merges them into one searchable page. Type "butter" and you see every butter deal in town side by side, so the price comparison does itself. Each deal shows exactly when the sale ends, and you can star items as you browse to build a shopping list.

It refreshes itself as new flyers drop each week. If it saves you a few bucks too, even better.
