Readers: What kind of car is this?

Does anybody know what kind of car this is? My mom just got back from a trip to the UK and snapped a picture of this smart-car-esque vehicle. I can’t make out what brand it is from the picture. And no, this picture is not distorted.

    The Chery QQ is a compact car, but it is not the same as this one.

    It’s a Smart Car. They started selling them in my area a few months ago. They’re seriously funny looking. I’m not sure who makes them, but the upscale dealership in the area (Jag, BMW, Lexus, etc.) is selling them.

    It’s a SMART car – which is actually the maker’s name too. They came in various models, including a convertible! and they’ve been around in the UK for ages.
    If you’ve seen the Da Vinci Code, that’s a SMART car that the hero & heroine drive around Paris.
    They always remind me of rollerskates, for some reason.

    Europeans seem to love small cars. But this ones the smallest i’ve seen. It reminds me of the Suzuki alto.
