This is the last post resulting from my free time this week off as I am back at school today.
I was back at home, and my old box of Lego from my childhood was beckoning me. I didn’t know what to make, but I knew I needed to make something. I decided to make Chris Prillo’s set up. I have been watching Chris Pirillo’s live stream from time to time. I like his rants and have gone through quite a bit of his stuff on youtube.
Check out my creation of Chris Pirillo below. Sorry Chris for depicting you as a pirate. This was for the fact that Lego has much better pirate figures than ninjas. If they had better ninjas, I would have depicted you as one.

I am not a huge fan of hardboiled eggs, but I am a huge fan of this gadget that can peel them. Loup226 (check out his metacafe channel here) posted a little DIY gadget to peel eggs. It is similar to the commercial product: the Eggstractor, but it is way cooler because it is DIY. I am still amazed at how well it works.

The mystery of Dr. Seuss’s green eggs and ham has now been debunked. The eggs weren’t rotten or coloured with food colouring; they just contained red cabbage juice. The pigment in red cabbage, an anthocyanin, has long been used as a simple pH detector much like litmus paper. Egg whites have a pH of around 9-10 and therefore change the color of the cabbage juice to green. Check out the video below of this being done.

I was reminded today about some instructions I saw for building a simple camping stove. It is a very simple design that only requires a pop can and some fiberglass insulation. If you are traveling somewhere by plane, this would be an ideal stove to assemble at your destination, as the airlines won’t let you take your regular stove on board.
