I have many gripes with Facebook. My biggest is that they don’t allow for full resolution photo galleries. They even have the guts to try to get people to buy prints at crappy resolution. I have swallowed my pride and have pretty much come to terms with the uselessness of facebook albums.
Recently, I have been receiving a lot of invites to the the application “Watch this video.” This application is totally useless, and unnecessary. It only exists because a few developers wanted to jump on the Facebook application ad revenue bandwagon. What I don’t understand is how can people not see through this transparency of applications like this, and why don’t people just send links to youtube if they want me to watch this video. Having to install a Facebook application just to view a video is just crazy. That’s the end of my rant!
For non-seinfeld fans that didn’t understand the title:
In sadder news today, George Carlin has passed away. As a tribute to him, here is one of my favorite stand up routines:
Sorry for my poor performance here last week. I realize I haven’t posted in almost a week, so here are some funny pics to make up for last week.
Today is the official release day of Firefox 3!!
I have been using Firefox 3 since the beta versions came out a few months ago. Simply, Firefox 3 rock. I am a heavy tab user, which is where Firfox 3 has made major improvements. Gone are the days of crashes, maxed out CPUs, and memory leaks.
Even if you need any more excuses to download firefox, Mozilla is trying to set a new world record for most download in 24 hours…
10. People who believe in talking snakes and virgin births are allowed to hold public office. Currently it is the opposite; belief is basically a requirement.
9. Libraries still use the dewey-decimal system.
8. Sending a text message costs 10cents, but a data plan costs $10/month. What’s the difference….it’s all digital signals.
7. It’s cool to be dumb in high school.
6. People actually watch Fox news.
5. 91% of Americans believe in god.
4. $1.2 trillion can buy this, a bit outdated but still a good article.
3. People still use Internet Explorer 6, or less. IE 6 accounts for 30% of IE traffic on this site. Overall I am actually pretty impressed with my readers. My site is viewed by Firefox 75% of the time, well ahead of the Internet average. That reminds me, make sure to download Firefox 3 tomorrow.
2. People pay for bottled water.
1. The Homeschooling Science Fair (Where is the science?) I feel really sorry for this girl, but I am putting her picture up anyways:
