The internet is populated with a lot of intelligent material, which is why I am addicted to it, but it is also filled with an enormous amount of ridiculous information. Creationists only contribute to one end of this spectrum and they bring the average of the whole internet down. The only thing that they are good for is a bit of cheap entertainment.
So here are the top 10 ridiculous creationists that I have found. If you can top these, please send your links in and I will add them to the list.
10. I wouldn’t want to miss anyone out, so #10 includes all creationists not covered below.
9. Becky Fischer from Jesus Camp.
8. Charley…just watch:
7. Quote – “One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn’t possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it.” [via Measured Against Reality]
6. Ann Coulter definitely had to make this list. Even if she didn’t believe in creationism, she’d still be an idiot. Here’s a quote from her book Godless: The Church of Liberalism: “Throw in enough words like imagine, perhaps, and might have — and you’ve got yourself a scientific theory! How about this: Imagine a giant raccoon passed gas and perhaps the resulting gas might have created the vast variety of life we see on Earth. And if you don’t accept the giant raccoon flatulence theory for the origin of life, you must be a fundamentalist Christian nut who believes the Earth is flat. That’s basically how the argument for evolution goes [emphasis in original].”
5. Quote: “He needs to read the Bible. Noah did not save “all of the Earth’s animals species.” God sent TO Noah representatives of each LAND ANIMAL KIND. When one sees such incorrect information in a piece by a scientist, one has to worry whether the same lack of attention to accuracy is exhibited in his own research, or the research he supervises!” original [via Jeff the Fish]
4. Ben Stein for his movie expelled. Thanks for making lies seem respectable.
3. Animation from a creationist movie ( part of the series: Why people laugh at creationists on youtube)
2. The Atheist’s Nightmare: Peanut Butter
1. The Atheist’s Nightmare: The Banana

I saw Becky Fischer in Jesus Camp a couple of days ago. I have to say that at certain parts it was funny in others the movie was disturbing. Poor kids….

Anyone who believes in creationism is a self-defined moron. The mere idea of it is ridiculous, very much like a fairy tale, yet creationists have the nerve to distribute this property to the scientifically based and supported theory of evolution. The creationists information is bullshit, their references, non-existent, and their arguments are ignorant, childish and founded on premises which beg themselves and have no support whatsoever. In fact, if you were to actually research their premises, you would often find that quite the opposite is true of what a creationist may tell you. Don’t believe any creationist when they tell you things like we have no fossil proof of evolution. Because we do, and they are just hoping you will blindly accept this as they have. Anyone who believes is creationism is an ignorant, irrational dinosaur.

I agree completely, I’m a catholic and I find what they say a whole lot of hooey. I read a lot of their so called theories and it has given me a lot of hours of amusement ( but sadly sometimes outrage ). One of my favorite theories is that Creationists claim that the dinosaur fossils that scientists find are in fact remains of animals that died in the “Great Flood”.
I once saw a creationist being interviewed in CNN once and their ultimate defense when faces with irrefutable scientific fact is they will just say ” Where your there?”. Honestly I find this ridiculous and infantile. It’s like a 5 year old saying ” because I said so” when faced with something they can’t win against.

i can’t wait til the “dover” movie comes out. even though it won’t help stupid people from being stupid.
i love some of the parts of “why do people laugh at creationists…?”, especially the end.

dino delellis, the reason why you think the creationists argument is pathetic, is because you have never really studied it. Maybe if you spent more than five minutes checking out a youtube video on creationism, the light bulb might just turn on. And Dinosaurs, btw, are simply reptiles that have grown for a longer period of time.
Did you know that reptiles never stop growing? So that means in a life spans of 200 years or so, they could grow to be quite large. And did you know the before the great flood, the earth’s atmosphere was very different due to the layer of water in the atmosphere? The layer of water kept out harmful rays from the sun that caused diseases, and shortened life spans. Fossils of humans that have lived to be up to 900 years old have been found. Those are the same fossils that evolutionists claim to be the fossils of the Neanderthals!
It is unfortunate that the arguments for creationism you have heard came from the noobs. How about you investigate a bit more, and study the more nationally known creationists. Btw, i bet i could find a lot of dumb evolutions who ruin the evolutionists reputation. Actually…in my opinion all evolutionists are dumb. haha! Do some research, and stop pretending like you know it all!

Here we go again, tell people to research and then make an ignorant claim like dinosaurs being 200 y/o reptiles…really? Of what species?, what about giant sloths or woolly monmoths?….900y/o humans? Were they frozen at Pompey while blowing 900 candles on their cake or was that info in their driver’s license?……you are bearing false witness my friend, repent first, then hit a any library and compare whaat you asaid against published evidence!

Yeah, that argument came from a guy called Kent Hovind, he is one of your “nationally known creationists”, he is generally regarded, by the law, the scientific world, and even fellow creationists, (see answersingenesis), as a complete idiot. Answers in genesis has a section on, “arguments we suggest creationists never use, that ones on there.” Your display of bravado put you in a even lower category than nube creationists, the category of noob creationists who think their smart lol… btw i think you might find your assumption on evolutionists saying stupid things is pretty wrong, unless they are adolescents or retards, meanwhile nearly every life or earth scientist accepts evolution, or 99.98% there is a total of slightly over 600 creationists in total that actually have a degree in life or earth science. However, creationists will often claim they have huge support for their creation “science”.
Btw you want a proof against a biblical god, determinism is natural under a purely omniscient omnipotent being, this axiom contradicts the axiom of free will. This contradicts the POSSIBILITY of the existance of a biblical god, however non-fundamentalist faith can be logical, personally i’m agnostic. Finally i would like to point out that compatiblism works on a change in the definition of freewill, this definition does not defy the above proof.

Strict “biblical” creationism is a joke.
The argument is a joke. Out of curiosity, why do non-christians argue against “creationists” if they truly don’t believe in a created universe? It seems like a waste of time to go out of one’s way to argue against a topic you have no correlation with.
Anyway,
The Bible says Man was created from dust. The key word is from. It does not explain the process. Unfortunately, the bible doesn’t come with texts that include scientific explanations of everything.
Glass is made from sand. The process, however, is not… sand, sparkle sparkle, BOOM, glass. There is some handy work in between.
Thus, there can be no argument made by Christians about how the Earth came to be except by what God reveals through our observation (science).
Is the notion that God created science so crazy for a Christian to believe? And to “noob smiting”, can reason define God? How can reason limit a God who is beyond anything? And if there is a God, what motivation does God have to create a world if He has no part in it?
And yes some people really stretch the truth to make it fit what they believe, and that explains the birth of relativism, which is much worse, from a Christian perspective, than believing science has value.

I agree with what you’ve said that creationists are ridiculous. They just made fun of everything, some are funny and some are not. They are just making fun of the theories that existed for entertainment. It’s just sad that others are blindly agreeing with what they’ve said.

In reading through the comments, I noticed a lot of “swipes” or insults being thrown around. Don’t each of us comes from a place of guarding what we believed to be true, however we can to those truths whether it’s through science or faith or whatever? With what we know in each century being discarded for something more advanced in the succeeding one, can we acknowledge that we’re keep growing out of our current ignorance…all of us? Perhaps we’re all in the same boat; just looks different.
